Flippin out fishing charters’ captain BJ Silvia is a member of the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association (RISAA) who has been doing commercial and charter fishing for over 20 years. He is also a member of the Newport County Fishing Club and the Aquidneck Island Striper Team.

He has been highlighted on tv shows like; Fishing the ocean state with Don Coyne and On the water tv show.

Captain BJ Silvia is on the pro staff with Finor fishing reels, old harbor outfitters  SeaGuar, Costa del Mar, and Yeti Coolers. Despite being busy charter fishing, he also engages himself in throwing plugs in the surf and designing and selling his own custom Flippin Out Fluke Rigs.

He attended Northeast Maritime Institute and held a USCG 100 Ton Masters Captains’ License, and has been fishing Newport and Block Island his whole life.
